The main intention behind my Final Major Project is to try and inform people about the fast-changing problem that we have today in ‘Fast Furniture’. As a result, I have created two pieces of furniture to the best of my ability, which have been up-cycled using materials found in skips around my local area. Furthermore, my project attempts to tackle one of the largest furniture manufacturers in the world ‘IKEA’. Throughout the project, I have mocked their brand intentionally and created my own catalogue filled with sustainable furniture that I have created and called it ‘FUNKEA’. What interests me most about furniture is seeing a product transitition from just raw materials into a finished end product. The main process behind my work revolves around the materials I find and scavenge, as soon as I find the materials i come up with a design and I start making prototypes in the workshop as soon as possible
